The Freely-Accessible Remote Laboratories team are holding a one day conference on the 27th of November to discuss teaching methods for high school science education. The conference will be held at La Trobe Universiy's Institute for Advanced Study and will cover topics such as teaching methods being developed at home and abroad, the effort to bridge the gap between science education at secondary and tertiary levels, scientific outreach activities being run at La Trobe University and more! There will be round-table discussions as well as computer stations connected to off-site scientific equipment to demonstrate the remote-access interactive experience.

The conference is free of charge and there are generous subsidies available to attend STAVCON on the 28th and 29th of November which is also being held at La Trobe University. There are funds to support teachers from metro, regional and rural Victoria to attend as well as a limited number of places for interstate teachers.
